Case Study: Redesigning X-Report and XConfigWeb for Better Usability
X-Report and XConfigWeb, was originally built without a structured UI/UX approach, making it less intuitive for users. My role was to redesign the interface, improving navigation, readability, and workflow efficiency. This redesign aimed to create a seamless experience, ensuring users could manage and track transactions with ease.

Project Overview
X-Link’s internal system consists of two key modules: X-Report and XConfigWeb, each serving a distinct purpose in transaction management.
X-Report is a view-only module that allows users to generate and review banking transaction reports based on query parameters or company folders.
XConfigWeb is a CRUD-based module where users can input data, manage configurations, and set up system parameters to support transaction processing.
Originally, both systems were built without a structured UI/UX approach, making them less intuitive and efficient. My role was to redesign their interfaces to enhance usability, improve workflow efficiency, and create a seamless user experience tailored to their specific functions.
The Challenges
Both X-Report and XConfigWeb faced usability challenges: The lack of a clear structure in both modules resulted in users struggling to focus on key tasks, and the interface was not intuitive, leading to confusion and inefficient workflows in completing basic actions. Through this redesign, my goal was to simplify navigation, improve information hierarchy, and enhance user efficiency in managing reports and system configurations.

The Solution
To address the UI challenges, I focused on simplifying and streamlining both X-Report and XConfigWeb interfaces. I redesigned the layouts to reduce clutter, established a clear visual hierarchy, and prioritized key actions to improve navigation. Consistent design patterns were applied to enhance usability, making both modules more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly.

The Result
The redesigned X-Report and XConfigWeb modules led to significant improvements in usability and efficiency. Users experienced smoother navigation with simplified workflows, enabling quicker report generation and better focus on key tasks. The consistent design system created a cohesive and visually appealing interface, enhancing user satisfaction. Overall, the changes streamlined operations, reduced user frustration, and improved productivity.
